- Joining SURJ (Showing Up for Racial Justice) activities as they occur
- Staffing and maintaining lending library of social justice books in the Narthex at All Souls
- Promoting social justice banner displays at church
- Supporting the Standing Rock water protectors in North Dakota
- Helping establish an interfaith council in Alameda County
Recent Activities:
- Summer 2020––Participating in Sacred Ground small groups
- Created and sent a banner to the Sacred Stone Camp to support the water protectors at Standing Rock
- Sponsored Traces of the Trade – film and discussion, open to the community
- Interfaith coalition building – visited Muslim Cultural Center; attended Interfaith Peace / Justice Vigil at Grace Cathedral
- Participated in Diocesan book study of The New Jim Crow by Michelle Alexander, and America’s Original Sin by Jim Wallis
- Attended Black Lives Matter interfaith rally and die-in
- Presented lecture and discussion of Between the World and Me by Ta-Nehisi Coates
- Participated in “Listening for Change: Sacred Conversations for Racial Justice,” a Trinity Institute event
- Attended “The Future of Solidarity: How White People Can Support the Movement for Black Lives” at First Congregational Church, Oakland
- Attended SURJ introduction meeting, Oakland
