The clergy at All Souls are always accessible to meet with newcomers and members to talk about their faith journeys, doubts, questions, or life as part of the congregation. The quality of their care, compassion, and love for the members of All Souls is a big part of our parish’s spirit of acceptance and loving kindness.
Our rector is the Rev. Phil Brochard, assisted by several volunteer assisting clergy who lead, preach, and serve on Sundays and at other services, and staff members Rev. Maggie Foote, Associate Rector; Emily Hansen Curran, Associate for Ministry Development; Jamie Apgar, Associate for Music; Annie Rovzar, Administrative Assistant, and Scott Garriott, Sexton; and Steve Zimmerman, Bookkeeper.
The Reverend Phil Brochard (he/him) joined the staff as the 12th Rector of All Souls in 2008. Phil is a native of the Bay Area. He completed his undergraduate work in media and education at the University of California, Berkeley, and worked in broadcasting in Los Angeles and San Francisco. Sponsored for ordination from the Diocese of California, he received his Masters of Divinity at the General Theological Seminary, gaining a national perspective on the Episcopal Church. He came to All Souls from St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Walnut Creek, where he was the Associate Rector. Phil loves to practice creating and re-creating Christian community in a variety of forms, enough that he co-authored a book about it, “Vital Christian Community: Twelve Characteristics of Healthy Congregations.” Email: phil@allsoulsparish.org

Dent Davidson, (he/him) joined All Souls Leadership Team in August 2022 as Associate for Music. His calling is that of an Animateur, one who imagines, teaches and leads new ways of expressing ourselves in liturgy and music. His extensive vocational career has included ministry with several parishes, two cathedrals, and a diocesan staff: each position focused on vitality in worship. He has traveled extensively as a workshop clinician & consultant in music and worship, and also serves as Chaplain and Musician to the House of Bishops. A professional church musician since his teens, his primary work is to unite voices in song with joy and passion. Having earned a degree in Composition and Vocal Jazz, Dent enjoys widening the scope and variety of music sung and heard in worship, and spends much of his time composing/arranging and searching for new resources. His goal: To touch hearts by embracing the beauty of the Anglican Choral Tradition AND expanding it. (In other words: a Church that swings!) Email: dent@allsoulsparish.org
